1080 participated in this year’s “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” to raise awareness and funds for the essential programs and services that support women and children affected by violence. We learned that 78 percent of women in shelters are there because of violence, and in Regina alone the YWCA housed 700 women and children who were in situations of domestic violence just last year.

Our team was truly inspired and humbled by the amazing people who told their stories, and who showed up in support of women and children and the YWCA. We love what the YWCA stands for and will continue to support the organization.
