On January 19, 2019, cities across Canada, North America, and the world participated in the third annual Women’s March. The global theme for this year was ENDING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN, and Regina focused on Truth and Reconciliation, “as we recognize the staggering number of Indigenous women and girls disproportionately affected, victimized, missing, or murdered as a result of violence” (Women’s March Canada – Regina). By raising awareness of these issues and sparking conversation, the group aims build a safe community for women and people of all genders to live, work, and play.

To save our fingers from the cold, only one photo was taken. We look forward to participating in this event annually, and encourage others to come out in support!
