The University of Regina requested that a business case be defined to explore the construction of a new dining hall. Following the University of Regina Master Plan, the project also considered the inclusion of other programs that had expressed a need for space.
The work focused on optimizing alignment, adjacency and testing program space needs. Three potential locations were measured, and seven possible solutions were created. Each solution was measured against project’s goals, program functional needs, minimizing travel time and distance between dorm and dining and ensuring that future flexibility within the UofR’s Master Plan was maintained.
