Edmonton 2030 Plan

Bob Croft worked with a collaborative team on the Edmonton Zone 2030 Plan, a multi-year, multi-million-dollar project that included:

  • A current state assessment of 18 hospitals including operating problems, capacity pressures and proposed solutions;
  • Health Service Plan for every health service (n=25) provided by the Edmonton Zone of Alberta health services for the years 2015-2030. There was a major emphasis on the transition of the purposeful development of robust community-based services including;
  • Community Health Centres (n=15) to house Public Health Nursing, Home Care, Mental Health, Rehabilitation Services and other health services tailored to meet the health needs of the communities served by each CHC;
  • Birthing Centres
  • Screening Endoscopy
  • Non-Hospital Surgical Facilities
  • Hemodialysis
  • Hospice
  • Community Paramedic Programs delivered in a variety of settings
  • An infrastructure investment strategy for the Edmonton Zone to the year 2030;
  • And Master Plans for the following facilities:
    • Royal Alexandra Hospital, University of Alberta Hospital. Stollery Children’s Hospital, Mazankowski Alberta Hearth Institute, Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, Misericordia Community Hospital and the Kaye Edmonton Clinic.
